Plot
About a month and a half after the start of the Normandy landings, Adolf Hitler is killed in the 20 July plot. As a result, the head of the SS Heinrich Himmler assumes control of Nazi Germany. On the Allied side, there is confusion on whatever attempts be made to negotiate with the new government or if Germany should unconditionally surrender.
