Hartley Hansen

Hartley Roland Hansen AM (born 14 October 1942) is a former Court of Appeals justice at the Supreme Court of Victoria.[1]

Hansen was born in Melbourne, and educated at Melbourne Grammar School and the University of Melbourne.[1]

Prior to his judgeship, Hansen was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1984, and served on the Supreme Court's Trials bench from 1994 to 2010.[2][3]

In the 2020 Australia Day Honours, Hansen was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the law, and to professional associations.[4]
