Hakari (river)

Hakari River (Azerbaijani: Həkəri) is the left tributary of the Araz in Azerbaijan Republic. The river is 128 kilometres (80 mi) long and flows through Qubadli District and Zangilan District.[1] Several populated places are along the river, like Aganli (on the left bank), Alibayli (on the right bank), Mammadbayli (on the left bank) and Yenikend (on the right bank).[2] The elevation difference between the source and mouth is 2,812 metres (9,226 ft).[1] The river's water is used for irrigation and drinking.[1] Fishes like trout and Arctic cisco spawn in this river.[1]
