Glenys Stacey

Dame Glenys Jean Stacey DBE[1] (née McBride; born 1954) [2] is a solicitor and civil servant who served as Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Probation between 2016 and 2019.[3] She leads HM Inspectorate of Probation for England and Wales, and has worked in the public sector at senior management level since 2000.

Previously she has worked as chief executive of Ofqual, of Standards for England, at Animal Health (now part of the Animal and Plant Health Agency), at the Greater Manchester Magistrates' Courts Committee (now part of HM Courts and Tribunals Service), and at the Criminal Cases Review Commission.[4][5]

She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2016 New Year Honours for services to education.[6][7]
