The song's music video drew criticism for its footage of a party Paul hosted on July 11 during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was condemned by Calabasas mayor Alicia Weintraub.[1][2][3][4]

Reception and response

The song charted on the UK Independent Singles and Album Breakers Charts, peaking at number eight on its second week.

Music video

The video for the song was released a few hours after Nathan Dawe and KSI's single "Lighter" and includes Instagram model Erika Gray.[5] The video begins with a model asking Paul when he would fight KSI, with Paul responding that he would "whenever he stops playing FIFA." Another model joins in, saying that KSI tried to DM her, with the first model saying that she also received a DM, responding that his penis size was small.[6] Later in the video, Paul is seen standing on a platform suspended from a crane with the party-goers.[7][8][9][10] The video gained 1.5 million views in 16 hours.

The video was criticized because of the footage of the party even though the song itself having generally positive feedback.[11][12]

Ghostwriter and stolen elements accusations

After the song's release, social media users and Elijah Daniel accused Paul of stealing components of his 2018 song "Phaggot," released under the name Lil Phag.[13][14][15][16][17] Other users, including KSI,[18] noted that Genius and Apple Music listed Desiigner and Killjxsper as writers of the song.[19] Paul then stated that "Genius isn’t a credible source for song credits," saying that a random user had inserted named under the producer and the writer on the website.

All writing credits were changed to only include Jake Paul and producer Joey Iny, with the label being named "stop tryna see who put this out."
