Frank Tuttle (artist)

Frank Tuttle (b. 1951[1] in Oroville, California[2]) is a contemporary Native American artist from the Yuki people, Wailaki and Concow Maidu native communities.[2] He completed his undergraduate degree at California State University, Humboldt (now called Humboldt State University).[1] As of 2004, he was a lecturer in Native American Studies and Native American Art at Mendocino College in Ukiah.[2] Much of Tuttles' artwork builds on a combination of modern artististic techniques and traditional modes of artistic development, such as dance and basket weaving.[1]
