Eileen Shapiro

Eileen Shapiro is an entertainment journalist who has written for over 40 publications around the world.

Shapiro began writing at age 18 when, as a nursing student, she became fascinated by the actor Leonard Nimoy and managed to get an interview with him. Subsequently, she was commissioned by Paramount Pictures to write a book titled Star Trek Medical Reference Manual (see Star Trek manuals), which became a best-seller.

She has since interviewed artists and celebrities including Annie Lennox, LeAnn Rimes, Brook Shields, Jennifer Hudson, Cyndi Lauper, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Emma Stone, Boy George, Maroon 5, Nile Rodgers, and Adam Ant.[1]

Shapiro also co-founded a public relations company, World Star PR, focusing on media and entertainment sectors.[2]
