Eddie Pollack

Eddie Pollack (or Pollock) (May 9, 1899 – June 1955) was an American jazz saxophonist.

Pollack learned saxophone under Erskine Tate, with whom he also played in the mid-1920s. Pollack was a fixture in many Chicago bands in the 1920s and early 1930s, playing with Detroit Shannon, Jimmie Noone, and Carl White. Many of the bands he played in never recorded, though he does appear on record with Ma Rainey and Al Jolson. He led various house bands in the Chicago area into the 1940s.
