Dmitry Sablin

Dmitry Vadimovich Sablin (Дми́трий Вади́мович Са́блин; born September 5, 1968[1]) is a Russian politician who has served as a member of the State Duma since 2003, for the United Russia party.[2] He previously served as a member of the Federation Council.[2][3] He is the first deputy chairman of the Fighting Fraternity (Boyevoye bratstvo) veterans organizations.[4]

Education

Political career

Sablin is head of the State Duma group that oversees ties between Russian and Syrian lawmakers.[5][6]

Anti-Maidan

Beginning in January 2015, Sablin was involved in the creation of an Anti-Maidan ultranationalist movement.[2][7][4][8]

Personal life

Sablin is married to Alla Sablina (née Nalcha), who is the General Director of Rota Real Estate.[4]

Dmitry Sablin co-owns several Rota Group assets, including Rota-Krym, which owns property in the annexed region of Crimea.[4] According to Dozhd, Sablin is one of the richest members of the State Duma.[4]
