Dikki Madhava Rao
Dikki Madhava Rao was an Indian actor and singer known for his work as a character actor in Kannada cinema.[1][2] Rao gained popularity with his role as the antagonist Kanyakumari Dikshit "Dikki" in the 1936 film Samsara Nauka. Subsequently, the name stuck to him as prefix.[3] As a stage actor, he worked with the Mohammed Peer's Chandrakala Nataka Company alongside other popular actors during the time such as H. L. N. Simha, and B. R. Panthulu.[1] He made his debut as a playback singer with the 1955 Tamil and Kannada bilingual film Modala Thedi; he sang "Ondarinda Ippathara".[4]
