Dennis Shea (lawyer)

Dennis Shea is an American lawyer and government official who is currently serving as the Deputy United States Trade Representative and Chief of Mission of Geneva where he represents the United States as Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO).[1]

Shea previously served on the United States-China Economic and Security Review Commission, and at various points served as either the chairman or vice chairman.[1] He also served as the deputy chief of staff and counsel to Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole, and later as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.[1] In July 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump nominated Shea as Deputy U.S. Trade Representative.[2][3]
