Dendronotidae

Dendronotidae is a family of sea slugs, nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Tritonioidea.

This family is within the clade Cladobranchia (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005).

Description

Animals within this family have elongated bodies with numerous branching cerata on their dorsal sides. The cerata lack extensions from the digestive gland. The head has an oral veil having branching extensions. The lamellate rhinophores are surrounded by a sheath and branched extensions.[1]
