Dead and Alive (Simonov novel)

The Living and the Dead (also Dead and Alive) is a trilogy novel by Konstantin Simonov.[1]:

  1. The Living and the Dead (Живые и мёртвые, 1959)
  2. Nobody Is Born As Soldier (Солдатами не рождаются, 1962)
  3. The Last Summer (Последнее лето, 1971)

The first book was filmed as Dead and Alive.[2] The second book was filmed in 1969 as Retribution.
