Cormac MacCarthy

Cormac Láidir MacCarthy (1411-1494) was an Irish chieftain, Lord of Muscry. He is best known for constructing the castles: Kilcrea Castle, Carrignamuck Tower House, and Blarney Castle.[1][2][3] He discovered and enshrined the Blarney Stone.
