Commbox

Commbox is an Israeli software company that provides an omnichannel customer support platform that enable companies to communicate with their customers through various digital channels.[1][2] CommBox headquarters are in Glil Yam with an additional office in São Paulo. In 2020, it was used by the Israeli Ministry of Health to provide a WhatsApp chatbot to assist Israeli civilians during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.[3][4]

History

Commbox was founded in Glil Yam in 2013 by two Israeli entrepreneurs named Yaniv Hakim and Eli Israelov.[5] The company received seed funding from Ewave-group where both Yaniv and Eli worked alongside.[6] Yaniv as a CTO and Eli as a marketing and business development manager.[7][8][9]

In 2020 the company rebranded and officially changed its name to Commbox, formerly BumpYard.[10] The company is an official WhatsApp Business API provider[11][12] and also collaborated with Facebook and the Israeli Ministry of Health to provide a WhatsApp chatbot to assist Israeli civilians during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.[4][13]
