Cojo, Art Juggernaut

Colin Cheney Jorgensen, more commonly known by his pen name Cojo, "Art Juggernaut",Cojo or "Col Cheney" for short, (born September 25, 1977 in Montclair, New Jersey) is an American artist, painter, writer, podcaster and veteran NYC art blogger currently based out of New Paltz, NY.

His artwork has been printed in sixteen countries and translated into fifteen languages. He first rose to notoriety in the early 2000s for his commercial art, graphic design and editorial illustration, predominantly in print and fashion.

His style is characterized by slick, hard-edged line work and bold colors. In his early years, he was most noted for his work in hip-hop magazines, before transitioning to be the lead illustrator for the world's largest men's lifestyle publication Maxim Magazine (2002–2006), within which his work has been printed nearly 100 times. His full-page comic strip, "A Day in the Life" (which he also wrote), lambasting celebrity foibles, regularly appeared in US edition throughout his run.

His art has been used as props on various television shows including The Drew Carey Show, America's Next Top Model, MTV's Boiling Points, Reno 911!, Nickelodeon's Black History Month, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Other clients have included Rolling Stone, Nike, FUBU AT&T, Village Voice, Time Out, The Source, WWE Magazine, Miami New Times, ESPN The Magazine, AOL and Vibe (Full Commercial Client List).

Cojo's fine art work is represented by Castle Fitzjohns Gallery in New York.

CBD Source podcast

Col Cheney is the host of the CBD Source podcast (launched 4/20/2019) based in the Hudson Valley. It is currently a weekly show that blends humor, education, and artistic metaphors through segments, news, bits, and interviews with industry professionals and "actual CBD users" to inform and spread advocacy about cannabidiol (CBD) and its benefits, as well as the other over 100 cannabinoids in industrial hemp, and cannabis.

Sketch365 was a sketch-a-day conceptual contemporary art experiment in which Cojo created a single 8½×11-inch, finished original pencil line-art drawing a day for a single year, beginning on his 28th birthday (September 25, 2005 – September 24, 2006) as the foundation for a larger painting project to be completed later. It is considered a seminal work in the artist's progression.
