Ciklum is an international software development[3] and IT outsourcing[5] company founded in Kyiv[6][7], Ukraine in 2002.[8] It is headquartered in London, United Kingdom.[3][9][10][11]

The company has software development centers and branch offices in the United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Israel, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Pakistan.[1][12]

Social responsibility and educational initiatives

In 2011, Ciklum partnered together with other companies in order to create BIONIC Hill Innovation Park - a Ukrainian innovation park constructed similarly to the Silicon Valley.[13][14]

In September 2012, Ciklum co-launched BIONIC University, the first Ukrainian intercorporate IT university working on the premises of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.[15][16][17][18] The University prepares IT specialists of a new formation, who were globally competitive yet aiming at professional fulfillment in Ukraine.[19]

In April 2014, Ciklum, together with other IT companies operating in Ukraine, initiated the launch of Brain Basket Foundation to fund free trainings for those who wish to study programming. This initiative is aimed at developing Ukraine's $2 billion IT Industry towards a goal of generating $10 billion in annual revenue and creating 100,000 jobs by 2020.[20][21] Ciklum has pledged $100,000 to the program.[22]

In January 2018, Ciklum supported first-ever Ukraine House in Davos during World Economic Forum 2018.[23]

In April 2020, Ciklum partnered with Tabletochki Charitable Foundation . The primary goal of the partnership is to protect the most vulnerable groups from COVID-19: children with cancer, for whom coronavirus poses a huge risk, and health workers, who endanger their lives daily to treat those with the virus and to try to stop the pandemic.

Ciklum provides the clients with a range of services including custom solutions development, quality engineering, data & analytics, Robotic Process Automation, Product development and Consulting.[24]

Ciklum provides teams, project-based services, and peak resources on a short-term basis. Ciklum key clients are Jabra, Just Eat, Metro Markets, Mercedes Pay.[25][26][27]

History

Ciklum was founded in 2002[1][2] by Danish native Torben Majgaard who chaired[28] the Board by 2019, in Kyiv, Ukraine. Since then, the company has grown to over 3,500 employees.[3][4][29]

In 2009, Ciklum buys main business activities from Mondo's bankruptcy.[30][31]

In 2011, Ciklum acquires 50% of SCR Gruppen (Denmark).[32]

In 2013, Ciklum acquires Danish IT outsourcing provider Kuadriga[33]

In 2015, George Soros's Ukrainian Redevelopment Fund acquired a significant stake in Ciklum[34]

In 2019, Ciklum raised a new investment led by Dragon Capital with AVentures Capital co-investment.

Since February 2020, Ciklum's CEO has been Kulraj Smagh.

Rankings and recognition

Ciklum is named the 2011[35] Top 100 Global Services provider.

In 2012[36] and 2013, Forbes Ukraine included Ciklum in the top 5 largest outsourcing companies in Ukraine[37][38]

In 2015, Ciklum ranked 5th in the Top 25 Largest IT Companies in Ukraine.[39]

In 2015, Ciklum has successfully passed the certification process to ISO 9001:2015, the world's leading quality management standard.

In 2016, Ciklum IoT Team Won IOT World Hackathon in Santa Clara.[40]

In 2017, Ciklum listed as a Representative Vendor in Gartner's Market Guide for Mobile Application Testing Services[41]

In 2017, Ciklum ranked 5th in the Top 50 Largest IT Companies in Ukraine.[42]

In 2017, Ciklum named Top IT Outsourcing Company by Clutch.[43]

In 2017, Ciklum has succeeded in the ISO 27001 Information Security Certification

In 2016, 2017, 2018 Ciklum included in The Global Outsourcing 100 – the annual listing of the world's best outsourcing service providers.[44][45][46]

In 2018, Ciklum won the Outstanding IoT Project Award at The 2018 Computing's Big Data Excellence Awards.[47]

In 2018, Ciklum's Testing Centre of Excellence won the 2018 European Software Testing Award in the Category “Global Testing Team of the Year”.[48]
