China Study Group

China Study Group (CSG) is an inter-ministerial secretary-level classified organisation that is the sole advisor to the Government of India on China.[1][2] Set up under the Indira Gandhi government in 1975, it was first headed by diplomat K.R. Narayanan, who would go on to become the tenth President of India.[1] It has been under the charge of civil servants such as Brajesh Mishra and Ajit Doval.[1]
