Arye L. Hillman

Arye Leo Hillman is an Israeli economist and William Gittes Chair and Professor of Economics at Bar Ilan University in Israel.[1] Hillman’s main research focus is on political economy, which is the study of public policy as the interface between economic and political decisions. He is now an editorial advisor to the European Journal of Political Economy.[2]

Personal

Arye L. Hillman is a sole surviving child of Yehoshua (ז"ל) and Rosa Hillman (ז"ל), whose other children perished at Auschwitz. Taken by parents from Germany to Australia in 1952. Married to Jeannette (née Mann) in 1967. Children: Tamara, Ilana, Nachman Eliyahu, Benjamin. 18 grandchildren to date.
