Armadillo Technical Institute

Armadillo Technical Institute (ATI) is a small public charter school in Phoenix, Oregon, United States. It enrolled 110 students in grades 9–12 as of 2018.[1][2] Its director is Summer Brandon.[2]

In 2013, the Oregon Department of Education rated ATI at the lowest level: a score of 1 out of a possible 5. In response, the school replaced half of its teaching staff and eliminated the GED program. [3] In the 2018–19 school year the school brought back it's GED Program.

Academics

In 2008, 13% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Out of a total of 24 students, three graduated, 16 dropped out, and five were still in high school the following year.[4][5] The low percentage of students receiving high school diplomas was due to the fact that students taking and passing the GED are classified as dropouts, not graduates. Accordingly, the GED program was outsourced to Rogue Community College and no longer counts in the school's statistics. The new Executive Director is Summer Brandon.
