History

Alhadas was raised to village in the XII century by the domain of D. Fraile Pais. In mediaval documents, like the charter granted to Montemor-o-Velho, by D. Teresa and D. Brance, Alhadas and Maiorca are referred to.

It was the headquarters of the counsel until the start of the XIX century were it became a parish of the extint counsel of Maiorca until 1853 and received the charter of D.Manuel I, in august 1514
