Al-Ghamdi served as a Divisional Director, Corporate Finance & Issuance at Capital Market Authority where he held a number of senior positions including Manager - Mutual Funds Continuous Disclosure Department, and Manager - Financial Instruments Department. Al-Ghamdi is the CFO of Alhokair Group since September 2019.[8]

Tadawul

Al-Ghamdi served as the Chief Executive of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) from August 1, 2013[9] to November 11, 2015.[10] In his capacity as CEO of the largest and most liquid securities exchange in the Middle East and North Africa, Al-Ghamdi was responsible for over 300 professionals across 9 divisions operating out of Riyadh, and was charged with leading the transformation of the Exchange into a rich multi-product, multi-market, multi-client platform with international reach and presence.[11][12]

As at year-end 2015, the Exchange was ranked as the 21st largest stock market member in the WFE, with a market cap of USD421 billion, and annual market turnover of USD443 billion.[13][14]

Al-Ghamdi developed the Exchange’s first ever 5 year master plan (2015–20) designed to address capital market development needs, the Exchange’s commercial objectives, and, more critically, to fulfill the aspirations of the national agenda (now forming a part of the Kingdom's 2030 vision).[15]
