Yabelo

Yabelo is in the Oromia region of southern Ethiopia. The town's name is spelled in many different ways, Yabello, Yavello, Iavello or Yebelo, and an alternative name is Obda, which is also the name of a nearby mountain. Yabelo is located at a latitude and longitude of 4°53′N 38°5′E and an elevation of 1857 meters above sea level.

Yabelo is a small town with two gas stations, telephone service, a post office and a commercial bank, as well as at least one primary and one secondary school.

Get in

Yabelo is located close to the main road from Addis Ababa to the border with Kenya, which is part of the Trans African Highway 4 (TAH4), from Cairo to Cape Town. Bus connections exist from Addis Ababa and from the border town of Moyale.
