Xinovrysi

Xinovrysi is in Mount Pelion. Current article covers also Potistika, Melani and Paltsi.

Xinovrysi is a village of Magnesia built on the slopes of Pelion mountain, approximately 50 km. from Volos and at an altitude of about 250 meters. The village's population is 213 inhabitants (2011).

Understand

For the visitor, very interesting are the beautiful beaches of Xinovrysi the Mourtitsa, Potistika, the Curetes and Melani, located about 5 km. From Xinovrysi, and which leads paved road. Potistika are a small settlement. At the village square there are some traditional cafes and restaurants, where the visitor will find excellent and cheap food.

Xinovrysi
  • 🌍 Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin (βασιλική της Κοιμήσεως του Θεοτόκου), Xinovrysi (Above the central Xinovrysi square). built in 1778 in Pelion architecture of that era. The church was renovated recently.

Potistika
  • Potistika beach. Fantastic, clear beach. Not especially developed, but there is a cafe with toilets and changing rooms.

  • 🌍 To magisaki (Το μαγισσάκι), Melani. The only restaurant in Melani beach, under big trees offers nice shadow, a must for summer hot days. Open during summer only.

Drink

  • 🌍 Climax, Potistika. Nice view. There is a dinner section which takes the biggest part of Climax. On the expensive side. Beer €, Spirits €.
