By car
Wollombi is 29 km south-west of Cessnock on Wollombi Road. A very pleasant route, through picturesque rural countryside.

The village centre is very small and easy to walk around.

- Heritage buildings, including the school building (c1881) and the general store.
- Former Courthouse. The former courthouse was built in 1866 and is now a small historical museum. $2.

- Picnic in Anzac Park.
Eat
- Margan Winery. Hosting the Beltree restaurant which is definitely worth a lazy Saturday or Sunday meal. Coupled with the wine produced at the Vineyard, this is a must try on the Hunter circuit
