Varhaug

Varhaug is a village and the administrative centre of municipality in Rogaland in Norway, situated north of Vigrestad and south of Nærbø. Varhaug is part of the flat geographical area Jæren that goes from Brusand in the south to Randaberg in the North.

It was founded in the late 19th century and expanded around the local train station in the 20th century.

Varhaug had as of January 1, 2008 a population of 2,520.

Local train between Stavanger and Egersund stops at Varhaug approx. every hour, a bit more frequent in 'rush' hours. A ride from Stavanger takes nearly 40 minutes.
