Tiruvuru is a city in Southern Coast of Andhra Pradesh.

Tiruvuru is geographically and culturally connected to the Coastal and Telangana regions of Andhrapradesh state. It 82 km from Vijayawada. It is a business center for nearly 50 villages around it. The population of the town is around 68,000.

It is a historical place also. Sri Krishna Deva Raya has visited this place during in his Jaitra yatra of Kondapalli in 1540. This is a second major Gram Panchayat in Andhra Pradesh.

The village has developed now with two Engineering Colleges and two B.ED Colleges in addition to the existing Govt junior and degree colleges.

The weather is typically hot (30-49°C), and the environment is unpolluted.

By car

Tiruvuru is well connected by road.

By bus

Every half an hour, buses arrive from Vijayawada, Khammam, Madira, Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam. Buses also come directly from Hyderabad, Guntur, Tirupathi, Nuziveedu, Machilipatnam, Eluru, Bangalore.

By train

The nearest railway stations are in Madhira (36 km) and Khammam (68 km). The nearest railway junction is at Vijayawada (90 km).

By plane

The nearest domestic airport is in Vijayawada and the nearest international airport is in Hyderabad.

Get around

You can find numerous auto rickshaws plying within the town. You can either hire one or can just hop into one which already has some passengers and share it. Either way, the maximum fare per person between any given points in the town is no more than ₹30. It is a small town with a main road that runs through entire length of town measuring no more that 6 km.

There is nothing much you can do in this town other than chilling out with locals and watching cinema in any of the four cinema theatres.
