- Float the Illinois River. The Illinois River flows through Tahlequah, and has been designated a Scenic River since the 1970s.
- 🌍 Cherokee Heritage Center. Just to the south in Park Hill, Oklahoma, the center includes a reproduction of an ancient Cherokee Village, the Cherokee National Museum- including the renowned Trail of Tears Exhibit, and the Cherokee Genealogy Center.
