Stubaier Gletscher

The Stubaier Gletscher is a glacier and a ski resort in the western part of Austria in Tyrol, to the southwest of Innsbruck.

Get in

For those who hold a "SkiWorld" pass, a bus service runs from Innsbruck.

Get around

In winter the best means of transport is by gondola, chairlift, T-bar, pomma, on downhill skis or cross-country skis, on snowboard, on snow-mobile, or on foot.

See

Do

Take the bus from Neustift village centre up to the Mutterberg ski station at the foot of the glacier. From here you can take the gondola lifts up to the middle station where it is possible to ski almost all year. From Neustift village you can take the Eiffer chair lift where you will find the start of a 13 km toboggan run back to the village. There is a restaurant/bar half way down which provides a welcome pitstop for refuelling!
