  • 🌍 Dom Pedro II Citadel in Caçapava do Sul (Forte de Dom Pedro II de Caçapava), Rua Dom Pedro II, Caçapava do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul (A small 20-minute detour south of the BR-290/BR-392 junction if you're driving from Porto Alegre to Uruguaiana or from Santa Maria to Pelotas.). A large, hexagonal 19th century citadel with projecting pentagonal bastions that sits in the middle of the city. Constructed 1848–1856.
