Salen is about 10 miles from the ferry terminal at Craignure and also about 10 miles from Tobermory.
West Coast Motors. Buses to Craignure and Tobermory, several times per day Mon - Sat. Very limited Sunday service.
If you have your own plane, there is a grass runway by the Glenforsa hotel.

🌍 Visit Ulva Island. An island with a population of 16, although the population was 850 in the early 1800s when the kelp (seaweed) industry was booming. The island is approached on a small passenger ferry, which takes a few minutes to cross. There are walking tracks, a cafe and heritage centre.
