Phthiotis is a region in Central Greece.

  • 🌍 Mount Oeta National Park — Access through dirt-roads by a 4X4 vehicle from Ypati, Neochori and other nearby villages.

  • 🌍 Gorgopotamos Bridge — The railway bridge over the river Gorgopotamos is famous for one of the biggest sabotage acts of World War II, known as "Operation Harling". A British mission and 150 Greek partisans blew it up on 25 November 1942, cutting off German supplies being transported between Athens and Thessaloniki.
  • 🌍 Thermopylae — A narrow coastal passage, famous for the battle that took place there in 480 BC
