Perinthalmanna , or Perintalmanna, is in Malappuram District, in the Malabar region in Kerala, India.

Understand

Perinthalmanna is the former capital of Valluvanad kingdom. The word 'Perin Thallu' means 'big fight' in Malayalam language which is spoken by almost everyone here. Tamil and English are also understood to a certain extent.

Get in

Perinthalmanna is accessible by bus from Coimbatore, Palakkad and Kozhikode. Slow trains are also available from Shornur. Get down at Angadippuram Railway Station. The nearest airport is at Kondotty.
