Nassfeld

Nassfeld is a ski resort in Austria on the border to Italy.

Understand

Nassfeld is popular for skiing in winter as well as hiking in the summer months. The altitude ranges from 1300m to 2000m.

Get in

The airports in Klagenfurt and Ljubljana are both about the same distance from Nassfeld. Travel time approx. one hour by car. Many hotels will arrange pick up by minibus.

Most restaurants on the pistes are mediocre.

gollark: Consider the difficulty of having to collect then dispose of/recycle "spent" solar panels ~30 years after deployment.
gollark: One problem with solar/wind is that (like most things) they degrade over time (lithium ion batteries, which you could end up needing many of, especially fast), and would be in remote locations in huge quantities...
