Mogoşoaia is a village in Muntenia.

Located right outside Bucharest, Mogoşoaia is home to an impressive late 17th-early 18th century princely palace.

Get in

Bus 460 links Bucharest with Mogoşoaia and Buftea; this bus departs from Laromet transport terminal (north-western part of Bucharest) every 15-20 minutes on weekdays and every 45-50 minutes on weekends. To get to the palace get off at the ninth stop.

It's also possible to reach Mogoşoaia by minibus (the ones heading to Buftea or to Ploieşti via Buftea); they leave several times per hour from an area just east of Gara de Nord train station.

The palace is a 600 meters walk from the main road where the buses and minibuses stop.

It's surrounded by a large park that is a popular weekend destination. 5 lei, 8 lei guided tours in English or French (only Sa-Su), 4 lei parking.
