Mandya is half way on the road from Bangalore to Mysore. The town very rich because of the sugarcane plantations and the sugar industry. Some of the best restaurants and resorts in Karnataka are located in Mandya.

- Srirangapatanam Trip Two days.
- First dayː Take bus/train to Srirangapatanam. Get a room in a hotel near the KSRTC bus station. Explore the railway station on the next forenoon. There are three temples, one ancient Juma Masjidh and some other historic relics in this area. In the afternoon, you can begin by visiting the summer palace which closes by five pm. The tomb of Tippu Sultan is another popular attraction which closes by six pm. Quad bikes can be hired here for ₹150 per round. If you move fast, you can also include the Sangama, the confluence of three holy rivers. Coracle rides are available here.
- Second dayː Hire a vehicle for going atop the Karighatta Hill. There is a good viewpoint and a pretty temple there. Come down and cross the Nimishamba Bridge. You will reach Nimishamba temple and the ancient church built in 1802. You can spend the afternoon for visiting the remaining attractions in Srirangapatna like the lovely park near Hale Sethuway bridge. This park is not very touristy.
