Here turtles still lay their eggs by the millions on the beach, hundreds of rays and dolphins swim close to shore, sea lions play on the sandy shores and cows still freely roam the streets of downtown Los Barriles.

There are a few small hotels in town. However, if you wish to experience this place as it really is, rent one of the vacation homes in the area and go exploring. The Mexican community is extremely open and welcoming to any stranger. There is also a community of expats who stay here most of the year round.
- Cabo Pulmo Marine Park. Cabo Pulmo Marine Park has several different camping areas. Some are free, others cost ~$10 per day. Facilities are minimal and rustic, but the views are wonderful. free.
