Litvínov is a small city in Northwest Bohemia, right at the foothills of Krusne hory (English: "Ore mountains") and less than 20 km from the border with Saxony, Germany

Several roads lead to Litvinov. Road 27 connects to the capital Prague.

By train

Litvinov can be reached by train as well; there are two train stations within the city limits:

  • The first one is 🌍 Litvinov closer to the center. It can be reached by city mass transportation system;
  • The second one 🌍 Litvinov mesto is on the outskirts of the city, still within walkable distance from the center.

By bus

There are daily bus services to smaller cities, as well as with Prague (regular one-way fare is around 104 CZK).

Stay safe

Unfortunately, the city became recently known for its suburb called Janov. Avoid going to this area in the evening, since there is a reasonably high chance that you may be robbed.
