Lesmahagow is just off the M74 and is clearly signposted in both directions. From Lanark, take the A72 through Kirkfieldbank turning off onto the B7018 (Dillarburn Road). From Douglas, take the A70 and turn off on to the B7078 (Carlisle Road). From Larkhall and Hamilton, travellers should take the M74. There is no railway station in the town, however travellers can take the train to Lanark and take the 258 bus service.
