Lahnstein

Lahnstein is a town on the right-hand side of the Middle Rhine Valley where the river Lahn flows into the Rhine.

Understand

The main parts of the town on are on the Rhine, Oberlahnstein being south of the river Lahn and Niederlahnstein north of the river. There are also a number of small communities along and above the river Lahn belonging to the town. These include Friedland, Freidrichssegen and Lahnstein auf der Höhe.

By Car

Exit the B42 south of Koblenz.

By cruise boat

KD (Köln Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt AG) boats cruise the Rhine stopping at Oberlahnstein.

By train

There are two equally important train stations in Lahnstein and one more minor one. SE10: Frankfurt - Koblenz serves both major stations
