During medieval times, under Ottoman rule, four or six defensive towers were constructed in Kočani on both sides of the Kočanska River. Today, two remain standing.
- 🌍 Medieval tower (right bank) (Средновековна кула), Ilindenska Street 1. This tower was built in the 16th century and stands over 15 m (49 ft) tall on the right bank of the Kočanska River. Built of stone, it has a square base. The entrance is on the second floor via a stone staircase. The upper two floors were living spaces for the local bey (chieftain). On the eastern side of the tower is a wooden balcony. The building is in good shape and houses a portion of the city library.
- 🌍 Clock Tower (Саат-кула). On the left bank of the Kočanska River is the Clock Tower, which is circular in shape. It is in rough condition.

gollark: You MAY have meant this ironically, but SQLite4 is actually publicly obtainable. It just isn't very good, because it was an experimental project to make SQLite3 run on arbitrary key-value stores which was cancelled.
gollark: Another cool feature would be tab-complete for page names in wikilinks, which I have not done yet, or tab-complete for arbitrary words, which would be hard.
gollark: Now you can press (shift-)tab to indent/dedent lists.
gollark: I feel very productive today. I just got minoteaur "advanced" editor features working.
