Jerome (Missouri)
Jerome and Arlington are unincorporated communities on opposite sides of the Gasconade River in Central Missouri, near the edge of the Mark Twain National Forest..
Understand
In the heyday of passenger rail and the early days of US Route 66, Arlington was a popular resort with a pool fed by an underground stream. During World War II much of the resort was demolished to widen Route 66 to four lanes to handle wartime traffic to nearby Fort Leonard Wood. US66 was later bypassed by I-44 (there is no bridge on the old road now) and Arlington is largely a ghost town.

gollark: I have about 2.5TB in mostly unused if somewhat dubious HDDs.
gollark: The main obstacle in the way of the OMSP™ is that I also can't afford much storage.
gollark: I really should set up some sort of *form* to submit data for surveillance purposes.
gollark: Funding for cameras and satellites and exploits and taps on fibre lines and stuff, I mean.
gollark: We don't really have much funding, so I'll need to take donations of data.
