Iwye

Iwye (Iuye) is a town in Grodno Oblast, Belarus. It is one of the historic centers of the Tatar minority in Belarus.

Get in

Iwye can be accessed by bus or by car. Gauya train station is about 10 km from Iwye.

Get around

The town is compact enough to get around on foot.

See

  • 🌍 St. Peter and Paul church. Originally built in the end of 15th century, this church was later altered in Baroque fashion. However, the structure, especially the altar part with massive buttresses, remains recognizably Gothic.
  • 🌍 Tatar Mosque. A 19th century wooden building, a fine example of the architecture of the local Tatar community.
