Haleshi

Heleshi (often referred to by its Tibetan name Maratika) is located in the eastern Middle Hills of Nepal and is a popular pilgrimage site for adherents of Tibetan Buddhism.

Haleshi is the name of the village nearest to the site of sacred caves where Padmasambhava and his consort undertook three months of ritual that resulted in them attaining a state beyond life and death. Consequently, the caves are associated with practices pertaining to longevity.
