Greenwood (Arkansas)

Greenwood is a city in the River Valley region of Arkansas.

Get in

US 71 North-South will take you right by the town. Take 10-Spur up the hill at the caution light through the middle of town.

US 96 will also lead into through the town if coming from northeast.

Get around

See

Bell Park is located near the top of Main Street, and features a wonderful view of the town.

The Coal Miner's Memorial is a recently erected monument to the men who built Arkansas' coal industry in the River Valley.

Greenwood's Performing Arts Center is home to wide range of products, performed both by out of town talents and students from GHS.

The Town Square is something anyone passing through should see, especially at Christmas time. The square is an old-fashioned town square, with shops and a small park area centered in the midst of town.

Do

River Valley Fair comes to Greenwood during the last week of September ever year. It's good for an evening of fun if you happen to be in town, or anywhere close.
