Gladstone, Michigan (often nicknamed as "Happy Rock") is a small community situated on Lake Michigan's Little Bay de Noc. Originally named Sander's Point, its name was changed to honor British politician William Ewart Gladstone.
The area is well known for its walleye fishing, and tournaments have been done by major sports fishing authorities in the community in recent years.

Depending on the time of year, Gladstone has different events going on. The Gladstone Ski Park is where many people go to in winter for skiing, snow tubing, and snowboarding activities, From May 15 onward to March 31, walleye season goes on and draws many fisherman to the area.
