Ghaemshahr (Qaemshahr) is a city in Caspian Iran region, 260 km north of Tehran, in northern Iran.

Ghaemshahr city's population is over 300,000 including suburbs and villages around the city.

It was home to a major textile industry, which was one of the biggest companies of textile in the world, with exporting to many countries in the Middle East, Asia and Europe.

Ghaemshahr has many industrial towns around and is full of different type of factories.

Although the city is not famous for its beauty, it is a good base to explore the region, as most of Mazandaran and Caspian coast is very beautiful.

The city is full of apartment buildings and shops but not a lot of attractive places for tourists, although there are many beautiful natural places around the city.
