Fuxian lake (抚仙湖; fuxianhu) in Yuxi county, Yunnan province is the second deepest lake in China (after the lake on Chiangbaishan, which is half in North Korea), and also very clean.

The main town by the lake is Chengjiang, which lies on the northern edge of the lake and is easily reachable by public bus from Kunming or Yuxi.

gollark: I did think of something like that; color links to pages based on a deterministic hash of their name, so you can remember them more easily.
