Dover (New Jersey)
Dover is a town in central Morris County, New Jersey with a small city feel. It is home to many Hispanic shops and restaurants. It was once an industrial town with machine shops, iron and mill works, and textile factories.

By car
Dover is accessible from Interstate 80 (exit 35 eastbound, exit 35A westbound), U.S. Route 46, NJ-10, and NJ-15. Several taxi services operate in and around the town.
By train
The NJ Transit Morris and Essex Line and Montclair-Boonton Line both stop at the Dover train station, conveniently located in the Blackwell Street district.
By bus
Morris County Metro routes 2 and 10 stop here.
Get around

There are several motels on Route 46 in Rockaway, a drive of about five minutes.
Stay safe
Dover is surrounded by wealthy suburbs and is very safe. If you find yourself walking down Blackwell Street at night, keep your wits about you, but there is really little to worry about.
