Chimay
Chimay is in Belgium, near the French border. Chimay is located in the southern tip of the province Hainaut. The municipality of Chimay consists of 14 villages.
Since the 1850s, the Trappist monks in Chimay have produced beer and cheeses to support their order. The beer (also named Chimay) has become one of the most well-loved beers and is known all over Belgium.

The nearest train station is Couvin (about 2 hours away from Brussels via Charleroi). Bus 60/1 runs between Chimay and Couvin about 10 times a day.

- In addition to the beer, the village has lent its name to four varieties of cheese. The Chimay à la bière (Chimay cheese flavoured with Chimay beer) is a particular and unique treat for cheese lovers.
